Our instructors Ann Sherwood and Pamila Thiel are specialists in varying aspects of
horsemanship. Each instructor is listed below. Having spent years refining these skills they are
qualified to help you with any horse and riding issues that you may be having.

Pamila Thiel


Pamila Thiel, Full-Time Instructor, Equine Studies, is a graduate of Northwest College with an Associates
degree in Animal Science. During her time at NWC, she was a member of the Horse Judging Team,
competing at the Congress and World Show. Pam is also a graduate of West Texas A & M University with a
Bachelor's in Equine Business. She was a member of Varsity IHSA Equestrian Team. In 2002, she was the
Advanced Western Rider of Champion Teams, including the Tournament of Champions held in Las Cruses,
New Mexico, and Varsity Nationals in Ocala, Florida. She was also a Who's Who Student and recognized
Student Athlete while attending WTAMU.
Pam has been successful in coaching youth students to all-around titles in the AQHA. One youth student in
particular claimed the WQHA Novice Youth All-Around, back to back, for the past two years. As a trainer, she
has also ridden horses to All-Around title in the western pleasure division, and won the WQHA Junior Western
Pleasure Futurity. In addition to showing, Pam has coached the Cody FFA Horse Judging Team, and in 2003,
she was recognized as an Honorary Member of the Chapter.
Anne Sherwood, Instructor in Equine Studies, is a graduate of the Northwest College Equine Studies
Program. Anne is active in FFA, 4-H, Collegiate Horse Judging, Coaching her team to state and National
Honors. Anne has a strong background in Rodeo. Currently she has changed her focus to training and
coaching amateurs and youth for AQHA and Paint Breed Shows, as well as 4-H and Open Shows. Anne's
students have gone on to win AQHA's Rookie of the Year for Wyoming, as well as many AQHA All Around
awards for Wyoming and the Center of the Nation.
Anne has three times been awarded the Who's Who Among America's Teachers Award, as well as receiving
three Honorary Chapter FFA degrees, one State Honorary Chapter FFA degree, one FFA Blue & Gold Award
and a VIP FFA Award.
Double Stitched is tailored to each rider’s particular goals and each
rider is treated as an individual. Private, semi-private and group
lessons can be scheduled throughout the day and evening Beginning
too advanced riders of all ages are carefully instructed in the basics and
are given the opportunity to progress through private and group
lessons at a pace that is appropriate to their skills. Lessons are fun,
challenging and structured around a solid foundation. Whether your
goals are competition or riding for pleasure Double Stitched is focused
on safety, education and correct riding. We encourage you to visit our
